Dragon's palace

Commissioned by Galelai.

This one took a little while to get sorted out, though perhaps not surprising with a a tricky subject matter. I don't really draw dragons often anymore, but playing around with some moorish architecture was enough to lighten the old flame so to speak. We experimented around a bit but ultimately settled on keeping it very close architecture wise to the Palacio de la Aljaferia .
All in all though a fun if difficult project. But that's the balance to strike, some that go smoothly and are there to turn your brain off and just paint with the flow, and others where you gotta sit down and work for your money.
